We’ve had an amazing and busy summer. Our first ever Summer Arts Festival of workshops was a huge success and we would like to thank everyone who took part. We are confident life-long memories and friends were made. Here is a look back at some more wonderful moments from this summer’s festival.

It’s been a terrific term. Our students performed “DIVISIONS” at Uppingham Community College at the beginning of April. UCC welcomed us so warmly - nothing was too much trouble and for that we are very grateful. We had fantastic technical artistry from the amazing LUX Technical bringing our ideas and vision to life. We were fully supported by SSC, our family and friends and are delighted to say we had full houses for the performances. That was a great feeling for the students to experience and well deserved. We were so proud of them and hope they are equally as proud of their achievements this year.
It’s now time for a little break for Easter but we are back on Saturday April 27th. We’re delighted to announce our SLADE group is re-launching that morning and we can’t wait to welcome our new talent.
Plans for our Summer Arts Festival are well underway and booking is now open. With such an incredible lineup of talent places are going fast - so please book early to avoid disappointment.

We’re hard at work rehearsing for our forthcoming performance on 2nd and 3rd April at Uppingham Community College. We will be giving out more details soon - but save one of the dates and come and see us.
This week we are preparing for a very special visitor to TYD on 6th October. Nicky Adams is visiting us to share her vast wealth of knowledge in Musical Theatre and brings a very exciting workshop exploring the story behind the song.
We are so lucky to have Nicky visit us and give her professional insight and knowledge into this genre. You can read all about her experience here.
Tomorrow is hours away and we’re so excited to welcome everyone - old and new - to Tolethorpe for the new look TYD.

Mary is out visiting schools over the next two weeks as Rachel looks after the website and social media - both letting everyone know what's happening with TYD going forward. We're making sure both newcomers and current students have everything you need but please drop us a line if we've missed something. Be sure to spread the word too about our exciting new class for 5 to 7 year olds if you know of anyone who might be interested in joining us.
